MerseyMoot 2018... that's a wrap!

Around 850 members of Scouts and Girlguiding from across Merseyside spent an amazing weekend at Tawd Vale for MerseyMoot 2018.

The event is an annual event for Explorer Scouts, Ranger Guides, Young Leaders and Network members. Over the weekend, there are many activities - young people can normally climb, abseil, canoe, shoot clay pigeons and can even try their hand at archery, circus skills or even have a go on an aerial runway. During the evenings, there are live bands, discos and UV parties! For the less energetic there is always the opportunity to have a try at some old and some not so old crafts, or just take the time to stroll round the various displays. Call in at the Coffee Shop or the Snack Bar and make some new friends.

Another fantastic weekend of MerseyMoot has come to an end.

Thank you to everyone who took part, and made it a such a memorable weekend. We have loved seeing all your pictures, videos and feedback; so please share them with us on social media.

Massive thanks to the Organising Team, the Tawd Vale team, our Emergency Team - and especially to all of our volunteers who made it possible for young people to take part.

  • As someone who has gone all the way through from my first Moot as an Explorer, to Network and now as as a DSNC, Moot never stops and continues to amaze…. Even in the rain.
    See you all next year

  • Thanks so much to everyone who made this weekend happen. My daughter has come home exhausted but has had the most amazing time.
