Plastics project badge design competition.

Earlier this year, we launched our Plastics Project through which we've joined forces with Ecobricks, the Global Ecobrick Alliance, and challenging our young people and adults to help us build our supply of Ecobricks.

We're now launching a special badge design competition to support this initiative.

Young people from all of our Sections are able to enter the competition. Leaders should download the below entry form. Closing date for designs is 31st July 2019.

Ecobricks are plastic bottles full of tiny pieces of plastic. When full and of a certain weight, they become bricks/blocks for building!

When we save, segregate and pack plastics into bottles, we can make building blocks that can be reused over and over again. Together we can build green spaces that enrich our community and remove plastic from the biosphere.  Together we can transition from plastic to ever greener harmony with Earth’s cycles.

It is hoped that we can build things such as park benches for the community and a bothy at Tawd Vale Adventure Centre.  There are some great ideas on the Ecobricks website.
