Week Three TY2TT: Fitness activities for Scouts and Explorers

Welcome to week three of our Taking You to The Top challenge. This is a programme to help with scouting at home and continuing to work towards your top awards. 

Week 3 - Fitness (This will link to Skills Challenge Awards & Skills element of Chief Scout Platinum & Diamond)

Main Activity 

Choose 1, this can be done across all sections tailored to suit age range         

Get on Your Bike!: Complete a bike ride with a family member or on own, learn how to look after bike (pump tyre, fix puncture, oil chain etc).

Time to Run!: Complete 3 Runs of different distances, measure your heart rate before and after.


You are what you eat - take a quiz to earn points which you spend on your meals for the week, understand more about the best choices

Core balance - core control and prefect posture are key to holding yourself up on these balance-building exercises.

Switch off challenge - Take on the switch off challenge to find a healthy balance between time on and away from screens.

Boot Camp - Take part in a Boot Camp style work out. These have become increasingly popular in local parks and green spaces so you could take part in one of these. If not, why not make your own work out!

Better mental health bingo - With your family or unit as part on online meeting, play Mental Health Bingo!
