Happy International Women’s Day to all our strong, independent, resilient, and determined girls and women in Merseyside Scouts and beyond. I am proud to recognise each and every one of you, and your achievements today, not because of your gender, but in spite of it. The theme of today is “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”, which serves as a poignant reminder that we will always achieve more together.
Whilst this day allows us to see that there is work to be done, I am proud to be a part of Merseyside Scouts. We are a County that celebrates diversity and recognises that equality is a right, and not a privilege.
