With all the uncertainty we have faced over the last year, one thing is certain and that is that our young people’s resilience and power to change the world has shone through. We have seen incredible things across our county from our young people this year and it still rings true that #WeShapeMerseyside.
With all of this in mind, we are thrilled to be celebrating another You Shape Month in Merseyside this February. With themes of land, sea and air we are excited to see how our young people can continue to make a difference and not only shape their own lives, their scouting and their communities but their world. J.R.R Tolkien once said “Even the smallest person can change the course of the future” and this is the message we want our young people to hear. We want them to be empowered that they CAN make a difference and their voice DOES matter.
We will be going live each Saturday at 11am on Merseyside Scouts Facebook page and weekly activities will be posted over the course of the month. Please share what you get up to with us at @MerseysideScout on Twitter or tag us on Facebook.
In the final week of February we will be celebrating all of our successes from the last 12 months through our #YouShapeStories and we want to hear yours! Have you got a story to share or do you know someone who does? Have you made a difference in the life of even just once person this year? We want to hear from you! Email us on [email protected] and [email protected].
Thank you to all the adult volunteers across our county who empower our young people by making their voices heard and thank you to our young people for showing once again this year that #WeShapeMerseyside.
